Last updated: June 23, 2026
This website and the home comfort services described on it are operated by 102196792 Saskatchewan Ltd, doing business as TemperaturePro Saskatoon ("TemperaturePro Saskatoon," "we," "us," or "our") — an independently owned and operated franchisee of TemperaturePro® / SystemForward America, Inc. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and website visitors and to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and applicable laws of the Province of Saskatchewan.
Plain-Language Summary
- We collect only the information we need to provide heating, cooling, and indoor air quality services and to respond to your requests.
- We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers and partners who help us run our business, or when the law requires it.
- We send marketing emails and text messages only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe or reply STOP at any time.
- Our website uses cookies and analytics tools to understand how the site is used; you can control these through your browser and consent choices.
- Under PIPEDA you may ask to see, correct, or withdraw consent for the personal information we hold. Contact our Privacy Officer using the details at the bottom of this page.
This summary is provided for convenience only. The full policy below governs how we handle your personal information.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through our website (comfortyoutrust.ca), by telephone, by email and text message, through web forms and online chat, and in the course of providing services to you at your home or property. "Personal information" means information about an identifiable individual, as defined under PIPEDA. It does not include the business contact information of an employee acting in a business capacity, or aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us when you request service, a quote, financing information, employment, or otherwise contact us, including:
- Name, email address, telephone number, and mailing address
- Service address, property details, and equipment information
- The nature of your inquiry, service history, and maintenance records
- Billing details and payment information (collected and processed by our payment and financing providers — see Section 6)
- Information you submit through our careers/employment form, such as your résumé and work history
- Communications and correspondence with our team, including by phone, email, text message, and website chat
Information collected automatically when you visit our website, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health or financial account numbers) through our website, and we ask that you not submit such information through web forms or chat.
3. How and Why We Use Your Information
Consistent with PIPEDA's requirement to identify the purposes for which personal information is collected, we use your information to:
- Respond to inquiries, provide quotes, and schedule and complete service
- Process payments, send invoices, and administer financing applications
- Send appointment confirmations, service reminders, and maintenance notices
- Provide customer support and follow up on completed work
- With your consent, send promotions, newsletters, and other marketing communications (see Section 4)
- Evaluate employment applications
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services
- Meet legal, regulatory, insurance, and warranty obligations
We will not use your personal information for a materially new purpose without your consent, unless permitted or required by law.
4. Consent and Electronic Messages (CASL)
We rely on your consent to collect, use, and disclose your personal information. Consent may be express (for example, when you check a box to receive marketing) or implied (for example, when you ask us to provide a service you have requested). The form of consent we seek depends on the sensitivity of the information and your reasonable expectations.
Under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we send commercial electronic messages (such as marketing emails and text messages) only where we have your consent or another lawful basis. Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link, and every marketing text message can be stopped by replying STOP. We will action your request promptly and within the time required by law. Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages, and message frequency varies.
We ask for your consent to calls and text messages at the point where you give us your phone number — on our contact form, in a separate, unchecked checkbox that names us, tells you what the messages are about, and explains how to stop them. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting our Privacy Officer. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide certain services to you.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Online Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and understand how visitors use our pages. The measurement tools running on this website are:
- Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-XKZC0ZMSG1) — aggregate traffic and page-performance measurement. - Google Tag Manager (container
GTM-K8RGQ39K) — the tag container that loads the analytics above. - Cloudflare — site hosting, security, and basic performance measurement.
- Google Fonts — typeface delivery.
We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels, conversion-tracking tags for ad platforms, call-tracking scripts, or session-recording tools on this website.
This site uses Google Consent Mode. Analytics and advertising storage are denied by default for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Quebec until you choose otherwise using our cookie banner. Elsewhere, they are on by default and you can turn them off at any time through the same banner — see Your Privacy Choices in Section 12. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically.
You can additionally manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's browser add-on. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of our website function.
6. How We Disclose Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your information to:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — such as scheduling and dispatch software, customer relationship management, hosting and analytics, email and text-message delivery, and payment processing — who are authorized to use your information only as needed to provide those services
- Financeit and other third-party financing partners, if you choose to apply for financing (your application is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy — see our Terms of Service)
- Our franchisor, TemperaturePro / SystemForward America, Inc., and its affiliates, where reasonably necessary to support franchise operations, brand standards, and warranty administration
- Equipment manufacturers and warranty administrators to register and service warranties on installed equipment
- Professional advisors, insurers, and authorities where required or permitted by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of any person
- A successor entity in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections
7. Storage and Transfers Outside Canada
Some of our service providers (for example, website hosting, analytics, and communications tools) may store or process personal information outside of Canada, including in the United States. When information is held in another country, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to that country's courts, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities. We use contractual and other reasonable measures to require our service providers to protect personal information to a standard comparable to that required under PIPEDA. You may contact our Privacy Officer for more information about our use of service providers outside Canada.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to provide ongoing service and warranty support, and to meet legal, tax, accounting, and insurance requirements. When personal information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy, erase, or de-identify it.
9. Safeguards and Security
We protect personal information using physical, organizational, and technological safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including restricted access, secure servers, and encryption of information in transit where appropriate. While we work to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Payment security. We never ask for, collect, or store credit card numbers, card security codes, or bank account details on this website — this site contains no payment form of any kind. When you pay for work we have done, payment is taken directly by our payment processor, and when you apply for financing you are handed off to the lender's own secure application. In both cases the card or banking details you enter go to that provider, on their systems, under their PCI DSS obligations, and are never transmitted through or retained by this website. We may keep a record that a payment was made, along with the card type and last four digits our processor reports back to us, so we can service your account, honour warranties, and keep the financial records we are required to keep.
10. Your Rights Under PIPEDA (Access and Correction)
Subject to certain legal exceptions, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive an account of how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed
- Request correction of personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information (subject to Section 4)
- Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by PIPEDA. There is generally no charge for an access request, though minimal cost-based fees may apply in limited circumstances, of which we will advise you in advance.
11. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Your Privacy Choices
This section brings together the choices you can make about how your personal information is handled on this website, wherever you live. It applies alongside the rest of this policy.
Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We are a Saskatchewan-based business, but this website is reachable from the United States, so we describe the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).
Categories of personal information we collect on this website
- Identifiers and contact details — the name, phone number, email address, and service address you type into our contact form.
- Commercial and service-request information — the service type and any message details you choose to give us.
- Internet and device activity information — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-XKZC0ZMSG1) loaded through Google Tag Manager (containerGTM-K8RGQ39K), and through Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this site.
Those are the only analytics and tag-management tools running on this website. We do not run advertising pixels, remarketing tags, call-tracking scripts, or session-recording tools on this site, and we do not collect sensitive personal information as the CPRA defines it.
We do not sell your personal information
We have never sold personal information for money, and we do not do so now. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Because Google Analytics sets cookies that can in some configurations support cross-context behavioural advertising, the CPRA may treat that analytics activity as “sharing.” We therefore give every visitor a way to turn it off, described below.
How to opt out of sale or sharing
- Use the choice on this site. Open the cookie preferences banner and choose Reject optional, or open Manage preferences and turn off the analytics category. Your choice is stored in your browser and re-applied on every return visit, and it switches off analytics and advertising storage and signals for that browser.
- Send a Global Privacy Control signal. This site detects the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal and treats it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing. When your browser or extension sends GPC, advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization are denied automatically, with no action needed from you.
- Ask us directly. Contact us using the details in Section 15 and tell us you want to opt out.
Your rights to know, delete, and correct
- Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to the exceptions the law allows (for example, records we must keep to complete a service, honour a warranty, or comply with law).
- Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to limit — direct us to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this website.
- Authorized agents — you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask for proof of that authorization and may ask you to verify your own identity.
We will verify your request using the information we already hold about you, and we will respond within the time the law requires.
No discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, give you a different level of quality, or suggest that we might, because you made a privacy request.
If you are in Canada — PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25
As a Canadian business, our handling of personal information is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and by applicable Saskatchewan law. Your PIPEDA rights of access and correction, and the process for using them, are set out in Section 10 of this policy. You may also withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 4, and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as described in Section 15.
Quebec residents. Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, gives you additional rights, including the right to be informed when technology is used to identify, locate, or profile you and to turn that function off; the right to withdraw consent to the use of your personal information; the right to ask that personal information about you be de-indexed or ceased to be disseminated in defined circumstances; and, in respect of computerized personal information you provided to us, the right to receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format. Analytics cookies on this site are denied by default for visitors in Quebec and in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland until you choose otherwise. To exercise a Law 25 right, contact the person named in Section 15, who acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information for TemperaturePro Saskatoon.
We publish this website and our legal pages in English. If you would like this information in French, contact us using the details in Section 15 and we will arrange it.

13. Visitors From Outside Canada
We are a Saskatchewan-based business, and the home comfort services described on this website are provided only in and around Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. If you access this website from outside Canada, you do so on your own initiative, your information will be handled in Canada as described in Section 7, and you are responsible for compliance with local law. The rights described in Section 12 are available to you regardless of where you are located.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
